South Shore Golf Club Rules
Respect for the game, the players, and the course
The Rive-Sud Golf Club encourages all golfers to respect the official rules of golf and traditional golf etiquette to ensure an enjoyable experience for everyone. Respect for other players is essential: maintain a suitable pace of play, be ready to play when your turn comes, let faster groups play when necessary, and avoid distractions during other golfers' swings. Safety is paramount at all times; no stroke should be played until the preceding group is within range. Players are also expected to take care of the course by repairing their sod, removing ball marks on the greens, and raking sand traps after use.
Dress code and expected behavior
Appropriate attire is required at all times on the course and in the club facilities. Collared or sleeved shirts, golf pants or shorts, and golf shoes are required to maintain the club's image and standards. Disrespectful behavior, inappropriate language, or any conduct detrimental to the experience of other members and visitors will not be tolerated. For compliance and safety reasons, bringing outside alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited; all alcohol consumption must be obtained exclusively from authorized club establishments.
Application of rules and responsibilities of golfers
The Rive-Sud Golf Club reserves the right to take action in the event of non-compliance with the rules, etiquette, or club policies, up to and including expulsion from the course without refund. Players must follow the staff's instructions at all times, respect designated cart areas, and comply with the specific regulations posted on the course. These rules are designed to protect the quality of the course, ensure everyone's safety, and maintain a friendly and respectful atmosphere for the entire golfing community.
